When moving into a new build after becoming mould sick, is there anything you would recommend doing to help with the Vocs and off gasing especially with someone that’s developed CIRS and issues with fragrances etc.

VOCs may or may not be the main issue in CIRS. I would look for inflammagens and particulates. Fragrances and VOCS are more likely to affect those suffering with MCS.

I moved into a 1950s flat its not insulated and im on the top floor. There was water damage down one wall that subsequently leaked again during a heavy down pour. Id been told by the landlord it had been fixed. The property has cavity walls. I think there is hidden mould i have contacted Enviromental health at the council, who are dragging thier heals alot.

Is there any test eg air one that i can do just to have a bit of a better idea what maybe going on/and or anything i should be pushing the council to do?

Ive had asthma medication changes 6 in year, headaches nausea and vomiting, migraines rhinitis gatro issues, sleep problems (the wall is in the bedroom) hoarse voice and swollen glands and throat (A&E x3 times) brain fog you name it. There are also trees outside the window that are full of dust and pollen, huge amounts so you can scrape with finger off window sills.

In winter anything in cupboards get damp if the heating isn’t on….and when i last went away late february my bedding was damp when i returned from a holiday away. My symptoms clear up after around ten days away, i also have terrible fatigue. Im unemployed so my options are limited.

Any idea, cheapest optio i can do for maximum result!

thanks keep up the good work
