If a tenant cannot get a landlord to carry out remediation to mould they can from March 20th 2020 take their landlord directly to court without a solicitor or legal assistance

The tenant in a mouldy home can provide the court with evidence and magistrates can impose heavy fines and costs

This new legislation will provide a route to satisfaction now eliminating the often-impotent Environmental Health Officer usually only armed with the redundant HHSRS 2006
