I had a stew of bacterial and moulds producing huge amounts of toxic output from a 3m patch on a damp wall, all vying for wood chip wallpaper food source, creating a gas chamber that nearly killed me. It didn’t cover the room so the Env Health Officer, clueless as usual thought it tame and just needed bleaching over. The ignorance on this subject is horrific, and will destroy lives, if only Councils could admit they know nothing, we would stop turning to them for the answer. Sadly they appear to be protecting their own financial interests as landlords, so wilful ignorance is the order of the day, at the cost of tenants lives, potentially for years or even decades.
